This series of photos is an excerpt of an exhibition that was shown at the City of Rochester Link Gallery (October 24 through November 26, 2001.) The idea for the show was originally nothing more than the opportunity to take some pictures of the idyllic life that is farming. However as the many aspects of the farm revealed themselves, it was obvious a complete story should be told.

The photos' unique coloration and feel are due to the techniques of hand coloring and selective toning. All the photos have been colored to some degree with special oil paint. Many others have been toned, all or in part (as in "Barn, Field and Storm Cloud"), to a brown or sepia color.

As this photo essay, and the opportunity to exhibit it at City Hall have come together, so has a chance for a collaborative effort with the CSA. I encourage any members who have ideas or talents to add to the show to contact me. Enjoy.
